Christianity Expert: Why FAVOUR Is the SECRET to Making Money – Bishop Kakra Baiden
October 8, 2026
Wait, is hard work actually a scam?
Okay, maybe not a scam, but after listening to the latest Konnected Minds episode with Bishop Kakra Baiden, I realized we’ve been missing a huge piece of the puzzle. We all know the hustle culture narrative: wake up at 4 AM, grind for 18 hours, and the money will follow. But how many people do you know who work themselves to the bone and still have empty bank accounts?
Derrick sat down with Bishop Kakra, and let me tell you, this wasn’t your typical religious talk. It was a masterclass on the mechanics of success. The central theme? Favour.
The unfair advantage
Bishop Kakra dropped a truth bomb that stuck with me: Favour is what gives you results that your effort didn't pay for. Think about that for a second. In a world where everyone is talented and everyone is working hard, what makes one person get the contract over the other ten people who are just as qualified?
He explained that while skills and strategy are important, there is a spiritual dimension to wealth that most young Africans ignore. Favour is like an invisible wind at your back. It’s the reason you get into rooms you didn't even knock on.
It’s not just about 'praying for money'
What I loved most about this conversation was the balance. The Bishop wasn't saying you should just sit on your couch and wait for a miracle. He was very clear that favour meets you on the way. You have to be doing something. You have to be moving.
He broke down how character, integrity, and your relationship with God create an environment where favour can actually live. If you're dishonest or lazy, you’re basically blocking your own blessings. It’s about becoming the kind of person that opportunities want to find.
Why this matters for us
As young Ghanaians, we’re often told that the system is rigged against us. And honestly? Sometimes it feels that way. But Bishop Kakra’s perspective changes the game. If you believe that your success is tied solely to the economy or your boss’s mood, you’ll always be stressed. But if you tap into the principle of divine favour, you start playing by a different set of rules.
Are you relying only on your own strength? Or are you opening yourself up to the kind of grace that bypasses the queue?
Seriously, go watch this one. Whether you’re a devout Christian or just someone trying to figure out how to win in this life, there are gems here that will shift your mindset. Derrick really outdid himself with this guest.
Let’s keep growing, let’s keep winning.
